![]() Where are you migrating TO? Are you going to a totally new site or somewhere in an existing environment? If the former then you will need to consider that your files won’t be able to maintain their permissions when they arrive at their destination and will end up as a free for all until you permission them correctly. ![]() ![]() When are you going to copy? As a rule, you want to try and do this outside of production hours, a lot of the time you could end up with just too much data for this to be practical, so you should probably break your data down in to chunks (say one department at a time).I’ve always found that the excellent free tool at CalcTool provides a very good estimation of copy time. How is your bandwidth? If you know your volumes and your bandwidth then you can work out somewhere close to the realistic time that the initial copy will need to take place.How much data do you need to move? Do you really need to move everything?
